CHANDRAKANTI DEVI CANCER FOUNDATION runs a free cancer clinic organized on the first Saturday of every month at Narayan Medical College (Jamuhar). Here free consultation with treatment planning is done and if needed, for further advanced treatment at AIIMS, all the assistance is provided to patients. Those patients, who require regular check-up after treatment completion, don’t need to go to bigger cities every time as the same service is available at their doorstep with the help of volunteers. Through the foundation monthly public cancer awareness programs are held at schools, colleges and also at government health centers for students, grassroot workers and general public. Here audio-visual presentations are made about the basic knowledge regarding cancer and how to detect it early as well as to make the young generation aware about the bad effects of tobacco and Gutkha Masaala.
